We’re pleased to report that construction at V&A is on schedule. All piling foundations are now complete, and construction has advanced to the next phase, which is excavation of the 6-level basement.
We have excavated and concreted the B1 donut slabs; these are part of the permanent works, and also retain the perimeter of the site during excavation. Excavation to B3 is ongoing, and we are progressively concreting the donut slabs, which will be complete by the end of the year. This allows excavation to commence down to level B5.
Once excavation has reached B6, the raft slab will be poured, and the cores will commence to both Albert and Victoria Towers.

The Level 1 concrete working deck is also in place, providing the site with a drive in/drive out for construction vehicles and loading. This ensures the construction works are separated from the public road and kept within the boundaries of the site.
Procurement, too, is making excellent progress. Iris Built have engaged trades for all structures and services, with the finishing trades being procured in the new year.
The professional consultant team engaged on V&A are busy completing their 100% construction documentation, which will be complete and fully co-ordinated by February next year.
