V&A December Construction Update

The arrival of a welcome stretch of warm weather has led to construction activity across V&A to progress strongly. The podium on the southern side of the site has now been poured, and the first of the ground-floor slabs is underway. It’s an exciting milestone as the project begins to establish its foundations above ground. The ground floor is designated for future cafés, dining areas and residential lobbies, integrating the building seamlessly into the existing Broadbeach landscape.

Excavation works have officially wrapped up, and the B6 slab has been poured. All three tower cranes are fully installed on site, providing the full lifting capacity required as the structures begin their vertical ascent. Both the West and East towers have received their jump-form systems, enabling significant progress on the core walls and columns. The East core jump system has been in operation for several months, enclosing the core structure as slabs continue to be progressively infilled.

As the year draws to a close, the first signs of the structure rising above street level will become visible. By early 2026, even more sections of the development will rise up, including the installation of several lift cores before year-end.

V&A remains firmly on track for its delivery timelines, with Albert scheduled for late 2027 and Victoria on program for mid-2028.
